1960 Goggomobil T250 For Sale
Broken engagement sale! I wasn't married but it seems it is going to cost me anyway. This is a NO RESERVE you win it you bought it auction. I have up for sale my beloved Microcar nicknamed the Goggo-camino. I bought the car in Berlin, Germany in the fall of 2002. It has gone to a few mico-mini car shows, regular car shows, scooter meets and octoberfests. It has stolen the show at every one. I have put a lot of time and work into the car so it is reliable. Things I have done or had done:Sealed the gas tank in and out, new fuel shut off valve, rebuilt carb, new plugs, rebuilt electric power distribution box(regulator), replaced the whole stater, magneito, charging, starting unit (lichtmaschinengehause) and the Anker(magnets) and Unterbrecherkontaktplatte (points and ignition), I have 5 brand new tires on it. It had new brake lines and wheel cylinders where needed when I got it. Brakes still feel weird but it has a great working e-brake. The interior is in nice shape except the seats could use a recovering. The original goggo mats are near perfect. The clock and radio are not hooked up but everything else works. It runs great and fires right up. It has a manual 4speed on the floor and not that magnetic unit that they offered. There has been body work with some panels welded in. the only rust is at the base of the driver door. Floors are original and very solid. The car was red originally. It was a normal 4 seater limo but was converted back in the 80's by Uwe Staufenberg himself to be used in a movie. It is some classic cult flic in germany where the housed a mini space ship in the truck bed. The bed slides off to expose the back seats so with a little work you could make a roof for the rear and have a targa the seats 4 people. This car has many rare goggo accessories. It has the visor, parking antenae, fog lights, eklade radio, roof rack, a talbot mirror, and a hoersch? front grille(I can't remember the name but it was a special item). Parts are plentiful and readily available from Uwe Staufenberg in germany. This is not a car you drive on the highway, it likes toddling along at 40 -45 mph. You cannot go anywhere without people smiling and pointing and wondering what it is. I have had loads of fun but I would like to keep my house instead. Please contact me with questions. I reserve the right to end the auction early-Thanks!
